Clean thanks to light - prevents bacteria on the joint surface
Apart from the peciclean® effect, PCI Geofug® also offers another advantage thanks to geopolymer technology. Residues that are not removed immediately are dissolved by light over the course of time as a result of photocatalysis.
The ultraviolet radiation in the light destroys residues and prevents the growth of bacteria on the joint surface keeping the surface hygienic. As all light has an ultraviolet component, this effect is evident with natural and artificial light.
On normal surfaces, deposits form and dirt can adhere to them. On the new joints, these deposits are destroyed by ultraviolet light, minimising the adhesion of dirt particles.
