Innovative tile adhesive PCI Flexmörtel Light covers twice the ground
New product with light filler technology for less weight and more coverage

With PCI Flexmörtel Light, PCI, a Sika company in Germany, is launching a new product in 12.5 kg sacks that offers twice the coverage of conventional tile adhesives thanks to innovative light filler technology. In addition, the new lightweight adhesive features especially convenient processing properties, it can be applied easily with little force and has a smooth consistency. The sustainable product is suitable for multi-purpose use with all ceramic coverings on walls and floors.
PCI Flexmörtel Light is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The new product can be used for laying all types of ceramic tiles including natural stone not susceptible to staining and large slabs, in a thin or medium bed.
The latest generation of tile adhesives with light filler technology is available in sacks weighing only 12.5 kg and therefore covers twice the ground compared with conventional tile adhesives in a 25 kg sack. Specially developed lightweight aggregates reduce the weight of the mortar considerably at the same time as improving its yield without sacrificing its high adhesive power and strength. Using 8 mm notched trowels, tilers can cover about 10 m² per sack, the same area as with a 25 kg sack of conventional adhesive.
Lighter sacks mean that tilers need to carry less weight, relieving the strain on their back and joints. Apart from reducing the physical load, this also cuts CO2 emissions during transport.
In addition, tradespeople benefit from especially convenient processing properties – a smooth, creamy consistency and easy application combined with high stability and very good non-sag properties. The open time is very long, at about three hours, and the surface can still be used and walked on the next day.
PCI Flexmörtel Light is a low-dust, CO2-reduced tile adhesive, classed as a very low-emission product, with the EC1 Plus seal of approval. It therefore makes a contribution to healthy living and environmental compatibility.
