PCI Group continues to invest in the future
With additional investments running well into the millions of euros, the PCI Group continues to lay the foundations for a successful future. At its Augsburg location, a highly advanced, extended delivery centre is being built for even faster, more flexible deliveries. At the Hamm plant, a new pail filling unit will double the current filling capacity for powder products.
The PCI Group continues its investments in 2019 – with the construction of a new delivery centre in Augsburg and a new pail filling unit in Hamm.

“The PCI Group with its brands PCI and Thomsit has laid firm foundations for growth,” says Marc C. Köppe, Chairman of the Board of Management of the PCI Group. “In addition to the extensive investments in our delivery centres and production facilities at Hamm and Wittenberg, which were completed last year, we have invested significantly in all the production plants of the PCI Group in Germany. We want to ensure that we can maintain and even expand our premium delivery service, with its well-known high quality, on a nationwide basis in the future at the same time as sales are growing.” As a result of the additional warehousing and loading capacities, PCI customers will benefit from even faster, more flexible and more reliable deliveries of PCI and Thomsit products in the future. The PCI Group will also strengthen its leading position as a manufacturer of construction chemicals products in the German-speaking region.

Augsburg: expansion of delivery centre
At the Augsburg plant, loading capacities are to be expanded, with 1,200 new storage stations and four additional truck loading ramps. The new, highly advanced delivery centre with an additional area of about 2,300 square metres is to be connected to the existing logistics infrastructure via automatic pallet conveyors. Construction work is to start in the autumn of 2019, with completion and commissioning planned for the autumn of 2020.

Hamm: high-performance pail filling unit
Further significant investments are also being made at the Hamm plant. It is planned to double the filling capacity for powder products in pails. The new, high-performance filling unit will automatically fill and seal up to 500 pails per hour as well as packing them on pallets. This will ensure that extremely popular products such as the variable, flexible joint grout PCI Nanofug Premium will continue to be available on a nationwide basis even with growth continuing as strongly as in previous years.

“Highly advanced digital processes and investments in future-oriented logistics infrastructure characterize the growth strategy of the PCI and Thomsit brands. This way, we will safeguard employment at all our plants and lay the foundations for further jobs,” says Frank Rösiger, Managing Director, Technology, of the PCI Group.
