The brands Sika, PCI, THOMSIT and Schönox grow together
Sika is reorganizing its business unit Distribution Construction as part of the integration of the MBCC Group. From April 1, 2024, the focus in the distribution business will be on sales markets, and the sales organization and marketing will be aligned accordingly. This change also affects PCI Augsburg GmbH, which has been part of Sika since the integration in May 2023. With this reorganization, the company aims to be more effective in the market in the coming years and thus ensure further growth.
The reorganization entails personnel changes in Sika's business unit Distribution. Ralph Spielmann, Head Business Unit Distribution at Sika, has put together a new management team. From April 1, 2024, there will be three new district sales managers with Germany-wide responsibility:
  • Jan Tebben, previously PCI Sales Manager North-East, will take over the position of District Sales Manager Distribution Building Materials / Tiling at Sika Distribution Construction in the future.
  • Karsten Scholz, previously Head of Sales THOMSIT Germany, is now District Sales Manager Distribution Paint / Flooring at Sika Distribution Construction
  • Henning Schmidt, previously Sales Manager Sika Distribution Construction, is now District Sales Manager for Adhesives & Sealants, Serial Construction, Retail and Pure Online at Sika Distribution Construction.
From April 1, 2024, there will also be a new responsibility in marketing:
  • Stephan Tschernek, Head of Marketing PCI Group, will be responsible for marketing, brand management and product management of all four brands as Chief Marketing Officer Sika Distribution Construction.
Sika's sustainable product portfolio will be further expanded and complemented with PCI's innovative technologies. The company can thus offer a comprehensive range of solutions across the four brands to enable the sustainable transformation of the construction industry and help customers reduce their carbon footprint.

"We are extremely pleased to see four strong brands, namely Sika, PCI, THOMSIT and Schönox, continue to grow together with this next step in the integration of PCI into Sika," says Joachim Straub, Chairman of the PCI Management Board. "With this new structure, we are strengthening our focus on the sales markets and will ensure further growth with a powerful, strong sales organization."

"We are convinced that this step will make both Sika and all four brands even stronger. Our goal is to combine the best of both companies. This is reflected in the new sales and marketing structure. Our customers will appreciate the new direction and the resulting added value," comments Daniela Schmiedle, Managing Director of Sika Deutschland GmbH.
