Surface Protection System Now with PCI Barraseal Turbo 1K

PCI, a subsidiary of Sika in Germany, has revised and improved its OS 5b system. The easy-to-process, flexible and crack-bridging surface protection system is well suited on concrete substrates or mortar systems such as PCI Nanocret.
The updated surface protection system has been developed for the renovation and coating of cementitious substrates, such as wall surfaces in parking garages. It provides reliable surface and chloride protection and stands out due to its simple and fast application. It also remains flexible at sub-zero temperatures.
The PCI OS 5b system consists of the following components:
• Sealing/coving: PCI Polyfix plus L
• Primer: PCI Gisogrund 404
• Scratch coat (optional): PCI Barraseal Turbo 1K
• Waterproofing: PCI Barraseal Turbo 1K
The new reactive waterproofing compound PCI Barraseal Turbo 1K ensures easy, user-friendly application. Thanks to its creamy material consistency, the product can be applied and smoothed effortlessly, ensuring perfect results. Machine application via spray is also possible, and its low consumption ensures maximum efficiency, especially for large areas.
The one-component product only needs to be mixed with water, which saves time and minimizes mixing errors. As it comes in a single paper bag, disposal effort is also reduced.
Special advantages for tradespeople and building material dealers relate to storage. PCI Barraseal Turbo 1K is frost-resistant without any loss of quality or material damage. In addition, compared to conventional bucket packaging like 2 component products, more material fits onto individual pallets, reducing storage effort on construction sites and in trade. Because of this, more material can be transported per truck, contributing to CO₂ reduction along transport routes.
