11.05.2026

Sika Germany is hosting the fifth PCI Alpencup, organized by its subsidiary PCI Augsburg GmbH in close cooperation with the European Union of National Tile Installer Associations (EUF). As in the previous year, the event has an attractive accompanying program and has returned to Augsburg following previous events in other countries. 14 young tilers from seven countries will be competing for victory in the PCI Alpencup on June 25 and 26, 2026.
The PCI Alpencup is an international competition for the tiling trade organized in close cooperation with the European Union of National Tile Installer Associations (EUF). Within the framework of talent promotion, the competition was introduced in 2021 and has now become established as a prominent and attractive event. This year, seven countries will be taking part with a total of 14 young tilers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as Denmark, France, Sweden and the Czech Republic. The venue in 2026 is Augsburg: the event is being held on 25 and 26 June in the ABZ training center of the construction trade guild.
As in previous events, each team of two tilers must complete together a task based on the level of the world championships (WorldSkills) or European Championships (EuroSkills) within a defined timeframe. In each case, one of the countries participating is responsible for setting the task and also provides the chair of the jury. In 2026, once again, Switzerland is providing the jury chair and developing the task.
As usual, participants and visitors to the event can expect an attractive accompanying program with various practical demonstrations as well as a specialist exhibition with well-known industrial partners in addition to the main competition.
The countdown with the latest information on the PCI-Alpencup is available at pci-alpencup.com as well as on Instagram and Facebook.
“We have been engaged in promoting talents in the trades for many years. With the PCI Alpencup, we have given young tilers an opportunity to put themselves to the test in international competition, exchange experience and develop networking for a successful career since 2021,” says Daniela Schmiedle, Managing Director of Sika in Germany. “We are very pleased that the PCI Alpencup has become an established and attractive event that brings young talents from the whole of Europe together.”
