With the PCI Pecilastic E isolating membrane, construction chemicals manufacturer PCI Augsburg GmbH now demonstrates how a clever combination of proven professional products can give rise to equally reliable new developments. This product combines the properties of the impressive PCI Pecilastic isolating membrane and the successful PCI Pecilastic U waterproofing and isolating membrane. Advantages such as rapid progress of construction work, simple application and additional living comfort impress installers and end users alike.
"PCI Pecilastic E is based on an optimally arranged nub structure," explains Thorsten Leppler, Product Manager PCI Tiling Fixing Systems Europe. "The parallel lines of nubs make the membrane considerably easier to cut, for example with a pair of scissors, and to lay." The nub structure also has the advantage of increasing the compressive strength. It is therefore perfectly suitable for use in industrial environments as well. As soon as the membrane has been bonded to the substrate, ceramic or natural stone coverings can be laid securely on top. It reliably compensates for any subsequent stresses or even cracks in the substrate, preventing any damage to the upper covering.
Faster construction progress
Use on young cement screed – as soon as it is accessible – and anhydrite screeds with a residual moisture content of less than 2% CM poses no problem for the new PCI isolating membrane. It speeds up construction progress and gives the installer greater flexibility in terms of planning. "The handling of critical substrates has always been one of our core competencies in the market, and the new PCI Pecilastic E provides further evidence of that," says Thorsten Leppler, adding: "For bonding the PCI Pecilastic E on anhydrite screeds with a residual moisture content of less than 2% CM, we recommend our PCI Lastogum waterproof, flexible protective coating or the new universal PCI Colliflex parquet adhesive."
In addition to the technical benefits, PCI Pecilastic E also increases the level of living comfort for the end user. The membrane mainly comprises soft fabric, which reduces ambient sound and the noise of footsteps. This improves the acoustics in the room and increases living comfort. In rooms in which no waterproofing is required, the new PCI isolating membrane is an attractive alternative. Fast and convenient to work with, its ability to bridge cracks and reduce the sound of footsteps, and its impressive price/performance ratio all speak for themselves.
PCI Pecilastic E: the newly developed isolating membrane from PCI Augsburg GmbH impresses installers and end users. Easy to install, even on critical substrates, it ensures rapid construction progress and a high level of living comfort.
Convenient application: the parallel lines of nubs make the membrane considerably easier to install. PCI recommends using PCI Lastogum waterproof, flexible protective coating or the new universal PCI Colliflex parquet adhesive for bonding the PCI Pecilastic E to anhydrite screeds with a residual moisture content of less than 2% CM.
Ceramic and natural stone can be bonded immediately to the freshly laid PCI Pecilastic E isolating membrane. The membrane mainly comprises soft textiles which reduces ambient noise and the sound of footsteps.
